Custom Bass Guitar - High Poly Model
The turquoise body of the bass was created with an Arnold car paint material as its base layer.  I then used nodes to add another layer of grunge that was created in Substance Painter on top.

Each of the saddles on the bridge is actually a small group-based rig.  This made it easier position all of the components of each saddle at once.

Since I tend to err on the side of caution, I keep an abundance of iterative saves when I work. This means I can grab screenshots from each save, and use them to put together a modeling time lapse!

I'm a pretty big fan of the bass guitar! So when I was looking for a complicated object to practice modeling with, this felt like a great choice. This model is my idea of the "perfect" bass, which is an amalgamation of a few existing products. This bass is modeled so that it can be subdivided to achieve the desired quality.
